FAQ's

What is Purple's lead time?

We work about 3 to 4 weeks ahead. So, ideally, the minute you have your kitchen ordered and have fitting dates, let us know what those dates are and we will work around that. If you've left it really late, or have been let down, it's always worth asking to see if we have a slot free sooner; we  will always try and fit you in!

Does everything need to be fixed in place for the template?

YES! It's really important that nothing moves after the template has been done, and that everything is exactly where it needs to be and firmly fixed in place.

What's the difference between an undermount bowl and an inset bowl?

An undermount bowl sits underneath a polished cut out and normally have drainage grooves leading into it.  An inset sink sits on top of the stone, and normally has it's own drainer.

Are the worktops hard to look after?

Not at all.  We will leave with our specialist cleaner after we have fitted your worktops, but generally, soap and water washes them perfectly!

What are upstands?

Upstands are a trim of stone that rise up at the back of the worktops.  They look great and are especially recommended if your walls are not straight.

How long between templating and fitting?

Purple have one of the quickest turnarounds in the country and aim to get your worktops fitted within 3 to 5 working days of the template.

What are the size of the upstands?

We take the upstands from the same sheets of stone that we use for your worktops to ensure an exact match.
