We’re delighted to share one of our favourite projects to date — working with celebrity and style icon Millie Mackintosh on the stunning new kitchen in her London home. It’s always an honour when a well-known figure chooses to work with local businesses, recognising the quality and craftsmanship we’re so proud to offer here at Purple.
This collaboration was a fantastic example of how a personal touch and expert service can turn a vision into reality — and we’re thrilled to have been part of it.
Where It All Began
It all started back in May last year, when we were contacted about an exciting project in London. Millie and her family were preparing to move into a beautiful new home, with a full renovation and refurbishment well underway. Her team reached out in search of a trusted stone worktop specialist, and following a recommendation, we were invited to be part of the project.
During an initial meeting with her project manager, Millie personally selected Purple Granite to supply, template, fabricate, and install her new kitchen worktops — and so began a partnership we’re incredibly proud of.
Finding the Perfect Stone
One of our favourite parts of any project is helping homeowners find the material that’s just right for them. We arranged for a carefully selected range of samples to be sent directly to Millie’s home so she could see them in the space and natural lighting.
After reviewing several beautiful options, Millie fell in love with PQS Carrara White quartz — a timeless stone with subtle, elegant veining that complements both classic and contemporary interiors.
This choice perfectly suited the refined yet relaxed feel of her new kitchen, combining practicality with understated luxury.
A Seamless, Personal Service
From the moment Millie made her decision, we worked closely with her and the project team to ensure every detail was perfect. Our expert fitters templated the space to precision, fabricated the quartz surfaces at our Kidderminster workshop, and carried out the final installation in time for the family’s big move-in.
As with all of our projects, we prioritised a seamless, stress-free experience — coordinating with other trades on site to ensure everything ran smoothly and to schedule.
